Dahlonega
This annual Spring music and art festival is named for the time in 1996 when a bear cub left his sibling and mama to take refuge in a sycamore tree in Dahlonega’s Historic Square. Rangers eventually returned the cub to the woods and ultimately residents decided to commemorate the event with what is now the Bear on the Square Festival.
